Our commitment ensures our stylists offer exceptional services to our guests and continually elevate their careers at Zona.


A visit to any of our salons will reveal an atmosphere of continual attention to collaboration and skill development.


Our stylist development process involves three phases:



Phase 1


Most new hires begin as interns at Zona. They work through the week keeping the salons spotless and performing value-adding relaxation rituals, such as hand and arm massages and botanical treatments. Every Monday, they work as stylists in a training environment, taking care of guests under the watchful eyes of Zona educators.


Phase 2


Upon graduating from Phase 1, stylists move onto the floor full-time. Here, they focus on building and maintaining a clientele, while continuing to progress their skills through ongoing training in advanced techniques.


Phase 3


Zona’s most senior stylists have established clienteles, representing an example of how to maintain passion and professionalism over the years. These stylists will not be the least expensive, nor the most available, but their experience and continued commitment to learning is what keeps the Zona culture strong. To further this culture, some Phase 3 stylists become one-on-one mentors to Phase 1 interns.
